Tensas river NWR

I was hoping the wading birds had started to arrive at Rainey lake rookery. With the sun shining, this morning, I took the drive over. I parked in the south parking area off the Greenlea bend wildlife drive. I went the short distance, to the rookery, but no were found. I decided to go on the .02 mile hike to the Rainey lake pier. I did get some nice views and reflections from the small woods lake.Later on, while driving out, I spotted and Eastern Phoebe. These are the best I could do, shooting offhand from the van window.

My first phoebe so it was a good day.

As always click the photos to see them larger
