We made it home last night around 9:30 PM. We cut the trip short as severe weather was moving in for the next few days and we didn’t want to be stuck in a tent. We had planned to visit a few more waterfalls and camp a few more days. I loved the campground at Horse cove. It is a national forest campground right across the road from the Joyce Kilmer Memorial forest. Nice place with flush toilets and a bubbling creek. I was disappointed with the Joyce Kilmer as the website and information does not say anything about the difficult up mountain hike on a steep switchback trail just to see anything. you must get all the way to the parking lot then start the trail to find out how difficult it is. It is not for the out of shape, fat, anyone with heart or breathing problems.

Later this week I will make a summary of the campgrounds, trails, sites and experiences from a disabled perspective.
