1st day of 2011

As I have said before New Years day is always sad for me. 16 years ago today the woman that brought me into this world, left this world and me. I was her youngest, born way after the other 6 siblings. My next younger sister was 12 when I was born. I didn’t have her as long as the others but I cherish what we had. She loved me in spite of how I acted. A mothers love is 100% unconditional.

Nell, Linda and I had our pork roast, cabbage and black-eyed peas, for lunch.

Anyway I spent the afternoon, after the sun peeked out, sitting in the blind. I got a few birds for the first day of 2011. My mom loved birds and had a large collection of ceramic ones. I hope you enjoy these.
