Birds from the back roads

Took a little drive earlier this week. Drove along some rural roads. The power lines we full of Loggerhead Shrikes. I did get a photo of one. This was back of Mangum, La. on a parish road.

Then we rode to LaFourche swamp on Hwy 15 to see if there was any waterfowl. Way off in the distance was a huge flock of snow geese.

I also want to include one from the blind. A female Pine Warbler.

I love to drive around in this time of year. Right now, we are experiencing a winter storm with sleet, freezing rain and possible snow. I think I will stay close to the fire.

  1. Hey Rick no storm but light snow and rain here in WA. The bird shots are great again.
